Jobo introduces 8.4-inch PDJ800 / PDJ801 digital photo frames

Jobo's spent the bulk of its time over the past year simply reintroducing its photoGPS geotagger over and over and over again. Now, however, we're finally looking at some fresh kit that might be out by 2012 or so based on the outfit's history. On the real, the company has unveiled the PDJ800 and PDJ801, both of which tout an 8.4-inch panel with an 800 x 600 resolution and a 500:1 contrast ratio. You'll also find a USB port, rechargeable 1,500mAh Li-ion battery and a multicard reader on both, with the only difference being in the amount of internal storage; the former packs just 128MB, while the latter offers 1GB. Both units are readily available in Europe for €159 ($198) / €179 ($224).

Asus Eee PC 1002HA Hands-on (Video)

Asus Eee PC 1002HA is the budget-priced Eee PC S101. Having a similar apperance as the S101, the Eee PC 1002HA has a configuration similar to Eee PC 1000H, sporting an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of memory, 160GB hard drive. LaptopMag has got a pre-production 1002HA and previewed the netbook. You can watch the video clip after the break:

The best way to describe it: if the Eee PC 1000H and the Eee PC S101 had a night of passion (compete with Barry White music) and forgot to use the necessary protection the result would be a Eee PC 1002HA

Raon Digital’s Everun Note is a ultra mini netbook that measures only 200×118x28mm for 737 grams. Everun Note is powered by AMD’s Turion 64 X2 1.2GHz processor, ATI RS690E chipset, 1GB of RAM and 60GB hard drive. It has ATI’s Radeon 1250 video chipset and a 7-inch 1024×600 touchscreen display.

Raon Digital Everun Note supports WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth and has a 0.3 Megapixel webcam. TrustedReviews has reviewed the ultra compact netbok and comments:

Clearly it isn’t for everyone; it’s a niche product that’s fairly expensive and enough like a netbook to make comparisons inevitable. If, however, a miniaturised notebook sounds like your idea of fun, if you’re a gadget fiend with cash to spare, it’s definitely worth investigation and if Raon Digital goes away and works on some its issues, it could be something really special.

An unusual product with an unusual name, the Raon Digital Everun Note is bound to polarise opinion. But, though its price and form factor isn’t for everyone, as mini-notebooks go it’s in a class of one: it may not be quite the finished product it could be, but it has potential in spades.
